The article is devoted to the most actual themes touching upon modern Russian social and cultural problems. Consolidation of position on religion, including a socio-political influence of religious institutions previously mown from public life, was a significant factor in social development in recent decades that updates the selected topic. Indeed, today the classics of the sociology of religion would, using their methodological framework may identify some of the trends in the development of religious processes.
