About the Settling History of the Ixsamats

In connection with the entry into force of the new edition of the nomenclature of scientific specialties, the journal is included in the List of peer-reviewed scientific publications in which the main scientific results of dissertations for the degree of Candidate of Sciences, for the degree of Doctor of Sciences, in the following scientific specialties should be published: 5.6.1. About the Settling History of the Ixsamats

The ethnic name Ixsamats is mentioned in Antique sources concerned with Kuban. The analysis of Pollen’s legend and comparison of data with archeological materials allow to state that this tribes settled to the right bank of the
Kuban River and the Eastern part of the AzovSea coast. This Persian speaking tribal group was remarkable for same preserved matrimonial traits in culture and this allows to attribute them to Savromat tribal group.
