English Sound-Expressive Words in the Newspaper Style (Based on the Example of Two Columns: Finance and Arts)

The article is about the research of the sound-expressive words of the English language functioning in newspaper articles. The article explains what sound-expressive words are and how they influence the sense of the articles of columns Arts and Finance. Sound-expressive words are classified into the groups. These groups are called lexical and semantic spaces, which determine the sense of the articles. Authors of the given two columns use different sound-expressive words and affect the readers differently. In other words two columns Arts and Finance are characterized by their own sound styles.
