This article is devoted to the description of the comparative characteristics of the speeches of two political leaders, who linguistically can be attributed to such a linguopsychological type as a trickster. The relevance of this study is determined by the fact that the trickster as a kind of linguistic personality is insufficiently studied in the linguistic literature. To identify the specifi c distinctive characteristics of the trickster in political discourse, content analysis is used to penetrate into the linguistic phenomenon and comprehensively describe it. This paper describes the trickster traits inherent in each politician separately: behavioral and speech characteristics, based on an individual cultural and educational background. In addition, a comparative analysis of the speech behavior of these leaders is carried out, which allows us to identify common patterns in the construction of their speeches.
