The Role of Anniversary Historical References and Essays (1959–1971) on the Kuban River Area Cossack Settlements in the Formation of Local Local History Studies

The complex of historical references of the Transcuban villages of the 60–70s of the XX century, preserved in the Archival Department of the Administration of the Ministry of Defense of the Absheron district, is analyzed. The positive role of the head and staff of the GACC in the preparation of certificates and the search for initial information on the history of the villages of the Absheron district is emphasized. An analysis of the extracted archival sources has shown that the local history writings of P.V. Ivin, F.T. Nikitenkov, G.S. Sirota and the references themselves, written in a series of anniversaries, represent historical and local history essays. It is noted that the accumulated material after a half-century break gave an impetus to the development of local lore, and the source base of the documents themselves became the basis of local history essays on the history of the villages of Zakuban.
