Factors of the Debris Flow Processes Development in the Kuban and Kuma River Basins

Factors of the Debris Flow Processes Development in the Kuban and Kuma River Basins

The paper considers key factors of debris flow processes formation in the Kuban and Kuma river basins. Dominant role of the tectonic and geomorphological (morphostructural) factor is defined. This paper considers territories (regions) with different level of the anthropogenic impact on debris flows. A forecast is presented for trends in debris flow activity as a result of climatic change and increase in techogenic load on landscapes.
