Problems connected with the humanistic concept of M.A. Sholokhov and influence of novel "Calm Don" on the development domestic war prose are researched. The problem of tragic in M. Sholokhov's novel and prose of A. Kalinin, K. Vorobiev, V. Bikov and others are considered.
