The erodibility of Georgia plowed soils
The erodibility of plowed soils is assessed by means of the erodibility nomograph developed by Wischmeier, Johnson and Cross (8) with due account for the dependence of soil loss on the main soil characteristics. A close correlation between the erodibility of soils and their genesis and texture is shown. Well-structured high-humus mountain meadow, brown forest and yellow-brown forest soils have the minimym, rainstorm erodibility 1,8 - 1,6 t/ha per a unit of rainfall erosivity index. Soil erodibility increases to the dry territory of Georgia.
