Phylogenetic reconstruction of a history of the Caucasian population: the dental analysis

(Veshenskaya)

The study involves original dental data from 86 samples drawn from living populations of the Caucasus, and 117 cranial series of ancient populations from the Bronze Age up to the 20th century, as well as on 393 living and ancient europeoid populations of Eurasia to make the comparative space. The phylogeny inference supposes the divergence of living western Eurasian populations from an ancestral population related in phenetic characteristics to the phenetic pool of the Caucasus.
