In connection with the entry into force of the new edition of the nomenclature of scientific specialties, the journal is included in the List of peer-reviewed scientific publications in which the main scientific results of dissertations for the degree of Candidate of Sciences, for the degree of Doctor of Sciences, in the following scientific specialties should be published: 5.6.1. The Reforms of Artashes I and Hellinization of Ancient Armenian State

The paper deals with the problem of hellenization of ancient Armenia under the reign of the last kings of Ervanduni dynasty and the founder of Artacid dynasty Artashes I (189-160).
The description of the social-economic, political and administrative reforms made by Artashes is given and by means of comparative analysis ancient Armenia's hellinization which embraced all advanced Near East is shown. The evidences are based on testimonies of Greek, Roman and ancient Armenian historiographers.
