The article reveals the role of nonverbal means of communication (mimics, gestures, views) in the description of the highlanders’ mentality in L.N.Tolstoy’s novel “Hadzi-Murat”.
The author seeks to show an original character, complication and significance of nonverbal means of communication are peculiar to highlanders.
