Ethnopolitical aspects of religious and political extremism in North Caucasus

The article is targeted to clarify mechanisms of ethnosocial basis formation of religious and political extrimism deemed as an inadequate response to crisis of the ethnocultural identity on the backgtround of the group and individual levels. A set of measures has been worked out to counteract the religious and political extremism, which includes iprovement of social and economic situation in the area, optimization of the national politics in the Noth Caucasus, removal of ethnical and religious disparity, support of ethnical culture and traditions of peoples of the North Caucasus.
