The adjectives of colour as element of ludic style in Nabokov’s “Lolita”

The colour adjectives in the novel “Lolita” by V. Nabokov are researched in the article as the element of ludic style. Various designations of colour, colour epithets, rare tinges, ludic functions of Nabokov’s adjectives of colour, specifics of their use are explored. This allows to find a new angle to look both at the prose of the author and at the peculiarity of games with the reader in Postmodernist metafiction in general.
