This article deals with the theory of the ideal citizen of the Roman philosopher Cicero. He has created the system of the citizen duties based on the idea of humanity and the Roman moral values. The problems discussed by this Roman philosopher within the theory of the ideal citizen retain their importance for contemporary social development.
