Modernization problem in the context of conflict of civilizations

The problem of modernization of traditional cultures and civilizations in the context of the enlarging global conflict of civilizations is analyzed. Special attention is given to the attempts of forced modernization of the Islamic world in the form of westernization and Americanization as the major cause of the conflict of civilizations.
