This article proposes to introduce heart transplantation motif in contemporary prose abroad through anthropological perspective.
Considering several examples of autobiographical writing and fiction, author demonstrates that traditional heart motif, which is closely connected with human ability to love and to sacrifice, is transformed into plots about transplantation and cloning.
