Consciousness as Detection of the Social-Mental Nature of Ethnos

Deep layers of the social-mental nature of the ethnos, expressed in the form of traditions, customs and mytholo­gy by representations of people about themselves and a place among other ethos’s are analyzed. In article the role of national consciousness in a life of Chechens, tests to which it was exposed during the various periods of the history is shown, the reasons and consequences of defective deviations in his development are opened.
The author comes to a conclusion that detection of social-mental bases of consciousness of ethnos will help to warn many negative phenomena connected to attempts to introduce in him dangerous political and ideological installations and representations. As huge opportunities of a manipulation ethnic consciousness not time created threat to a physical survival of ethnos.
