The Diachrony of the Category of “Animateness/ Inanimateness” in the Paradigm of the Case of the Yenisei Interrogative Pronouns ‘Who?’, ‘What?’

The paper is dedicated to the question of the reflection of the category of the animateness/inanimateness in the case paradigm of the interrogative pronouns ‘who?’, ‘what? in Yenisei languages in the aspect of the category of the class. There is given the probable way of the development of the categoryof the case. The author comes to the conclusion that in Yenisei languages the affixes of the case reflect the belonging of the names to the class and go back to the deictic particles.
