The Historical Analogies in the Question of the Role of the Deputy Institute in the North Caucasus

The article is dealt with the question of the role of specialized state agencies, ruling the Caucasus in the Empire period and nowadays. The author compares the performance of duties of deputy of Caucasus and Plenipotentiary of the President of the Russian Federation in the Northern Caucasus. The role of scientists in using positive and negative historical experience in modern practice of state administration is defined as well.
