Latin Attribution as a Style-Forming Factor in Scientific Prose Style of the English Language

In connection with the entry into force of the new edition of the nomenclature of scientific specialties, the journal is included in the List of peer-reviewed scientific publications in which the main scientific results of dissertations for the degree of Candidate of Sciences, for the degree of Doctor of Sciences, in the following scientific specialties should be published: 5.6.1. Latin Attribution as a Style-Forming Factor in Scientific Prose Style of the English Language

The article shows the influence of Latin elements of all language levels on development of basic stylistic features of the scientific prose style of the English language. To a large extent the Latin language facilitated formality and standardized character of the speech, high term and bookish word frequency, abstract and generalized speech character.
