German Historians about the Wehrmacht’s Crime on the Occupied Territory of the USSR (1941–1944): Evolution of the Judgments

The evolution of concepts in German society in accordance with the question about German Wehrmacht crimes on the occupied territory of the USSR during the war 1941–1945 are analysed. It is shown the historical and public idea during the post-war time passed the long way from the creation of “irreproachable” Wehrmacht image to the recognition of crime actions of Hitler’s army on the territory of the USSR.
