To the Question about the Role of the Institute of Vicaregement in the North-Caucasus as the Most Important Factor of the Policy of Russia in 18th–19th Centuries (Modern Historiography)

A methodological approach is offered to analyze modern historiography of the role of the institute of vicaregement in realization of home and foreign policy of Russia in the Caucasus in 18th–19th centuries. The author makes conclusion about the place of the Caucasus in modern historiography of the history of Russian State Governing.
