An Approach to Intersystemic Analysis of Two Closely Cognate Languages (Focus on: standard English of England and Scots)

An approach to a contrastive analysis of lexis of closely cognate English and Scots is outlined. Common and different features of the vocabularies in question are detected, described and estimated as regards their relative systemic value.
