The Rise and Evolution of Su?sm in the North-East Caucasus

The Rise and Evolution of Su?sm in the North-East Caucasus

The article is devoted to problems of rise and spreading of Su?sm in the muslim world on the whole, and in the North-East Caucasus in particular. Rise of Nakshbandi and Kadiri brotherhoods in the territory of Dagestan and Chechnya, their social cultural and political in?uence on muslims of Caucasus, and also their peculiarities in theoretical and practical aspects, are considered on an example of some Su? sheikhs.
