Intercultural Communications during a Globalization Epoch: Tolerance or Struggle for Cultural Identity

The article deals with the problems of intercultural communications during a globalization epoch. The author considers tolerance and struggle for cultural identity as dialectic contrasts of modern socio-cultural process. Formation of the tolerant relation to representatives of other cultures should be combined with preservation and development of own cultural traditions. Otherwise tolerance can lead to full loss of cultural identity and make negative impact on modern cultural development.
