Ecological Problem in the Context of Cultural Studies

In connection with the entry into force of the new edition of the nomenclature of scientific specialties, the journal is included in the List of peer-reviewed scientific publications in which the main scientific results of dissertations for the degree of Candidate of Sciences, for the degree of Doctor of Sciences, in the following scientific specialties should be published: 5.6.1. Ecological Problem in the Context of Cultural Studies

A cultural studies approach to the analysis of the ecological problem is grounded in the article. Basic ideas in the ﬁeld of cultural studies of O. Spengler, A. Schweitzer, J. Ortega y Gasset and contemporary scholars are juxtaposed. They elucidate the core and manifestations of the ecological crisis and suggest ways out of it. The analysis results in addressing the fundamental issue of the theory of culture: types of culture and ecological peculiarities of various cultural types.
