The contemporary conceptions of terrorism are analyzed. Terrorism is deﬁned as a form of ethno-political conﬂ ict. Terrorism is discussed as a method of political struggle which is supported due to wide spread of extremism. The main reason of the spread of extremism and terrorism in the North Caucasus at the present stage is uncontrolled growth of radical religious identity in terms of accumulation of the systemic problems of national importance.
