In connection with the entry into force of the new edition of the nomenclature of scientific specialties, the journal is included in the List of peer-reviewed scientific publications in which the main scientific results of dissertations for the degree of Candidate of Sciences, for the degree of Doctor of Sciences, in the following scientific specialties should be published: 5.6.1. The article considers the press of constitutional democrats (kadets) of the Don, Kuban, Stavropol and Terek regions during the years of the ﬁrst Russian revolution. Using the examples of individual newspapers and magazines the author demonstrates the censorship conditions in which liberal publications were functioning, their ideological propagandistic concepts and their ﬁght for changing the political regime in Russia.
