Ontological Characteristics of the Phenomenon CLASS in the English Cultural Tradition
Extralinguistic data about the English linguocultural concept CLASS are analyzed. Different approaches to the role and significance of this phenomenon for the English cultural tradition are taken into consideration. Special attention is paid to the national features of concept CLASS. The author also discusses the levelling policy of class distinctions in language and culture.
