Ontological Characteristics of the Phenomenon CLASS in the English Cultural Tradition

In connection with the entry into force of the new edition of the nomenclature of scientific specialties, the journal is included in the List of peer-reviewed scientific publications in which the main scientific results of dissertations for the degree of Candidate of Sciences, for the degree of Doctor of Sciences, in the following scientific specialties should be published: 5.6.1. Ontological Characteristics of the Phenomenon CLASS in the English Cultural Tradition

Extralinguistic data about the English linguocultural concept CLASS are analyzed. Different approaches to the role and signiﬁcance of this phenomenon for the English cultural tradition are taken into consideration. Special attention is paid to the national features of concept CLASS. The author also discusses the levelling policy of class distinctions in language and culture.
