Development of the Russian Electoral Policy as a Result of the Interaction of Major Subjects (1989–2004)
The study covers the period from 1989 to 2004. The author traces the dynamics of electoral politics through the interaction of its main stakeholders. Characteristic features of each stage are identified. Two vectors of electoral policies are defined. The conclusion is made that the changes are not so much the result of political activity as a result of efforts by the state based on the creation of controlled political space.
