The key factors and trends of the territorial organization of society in post-Soviet period: metropolization, territorial and social inequalities growth, economic and demographic “desertiﬁcation” of periphery, socio-economic enclavisation and expansion of polycentrism are identiﬁed; development of the universal all-Russian processes in the speciﬁc conditions of the South Russia territorial and economic system are shown.
