The Interaction of Comparative and Gradation Relations in the Language of Works by A.P. Chekhov

The article describes ways and functions of interaction of gradation and comparison in the language of works by Chekhov. Based on the analysis of the text structure the concept of gradation-comparative complex is introduced. The functional-semantic features of such complexes are detected.
