Vakf in Dagestan and in the Ottoman Empire of the 19th Century

The article gives a comparative analysis of the vakf in Dagestan and in the Ottoman Empire. Particular attention is paid to the disclosure of social-economic importance of vakf in the Ottoman Empire and in Dagestan. The incidence of vakf that playing of signiﬁcant role in the economy of the Ottoman state and Dagestan are shown.
