Comprehensive theoretic analysis of various approaches to the conception of a standard human identity in Russia and in the West is provided within the framework of discursive thinking. The ways of human thinking, values and predispositions of the political, authoritarian and Ioannian personality type in Russia and of the economic, tolerant and Promethean personality type in the West are compared in the article.
