V.I. Vernadsky”s Historic-Philosophical Ideas

The article focuses on the philosophical aspects of the work of V.I. Vernadsky. The role and importance of historic-philosophical ideas of the great scientist in the context of his multifaceted research interests are revealed. The core doctrine is presented by his idea of joint development of the history of science and the history of philosophy. The principled position of the thinker states that an adequate assessment of the material of natural sciences requires not just an investigation of individual philosophical frameworks, but also demands conscious work on the material of various philosophical theories and systems. The author therefore analyzes the concept of time V.I. Vernadsky.
