In connection with the entry into force of the new edition of the nomenclature of scientific specialties, the journal is included in the List of peer-reviewed scientific publications in which the main scientific results of dissertations for the degree of Candidate of Sciences, for the degree of Doctor of Sciences, in the following scientific specialties should be published: 5.6.1. National Speciﬁc Means of theImperative Category in the English Language

The article is devoted to the study ofthenational speciﬁc means of the imperative category expression in the English language. It gives the deﬁnition of such notions as national speciﬁcs, social norms and stereotypes of speech behavior which deﬁne the strucure of the imperative discourse. The author provides her own systematic analysis of the national speciﬁcs of the imperative discourse based on the writings of the modern English and American writers.
