Pragmalinguistic Fundamentals of Mimesis (Based on Modern English Drama)
The article deals with mimesis as a means of expedient multifunctional verbal influence and discourse regulation. Analysis of contemporary English drama texts has lead the author to a conclusion that mimesis is among the most effective means of direct or indirect impact on the interlocutor’s emotional sphere, as well as his/her further behavior.
