Substantivation on The Basis of Adjectives as a Type of Usual Conversion (on the Basis of the Russian and French Languages)

Substantivation on the basis of adjectives as one of the types of usual conversion in contrastive-comparative aspect on the basis of the Russian and French languages is studied. General and different word-building types are determined in these languages as well as degree of substantivation creativity in them. It’s concluded that substantivation is more spread in the French language.
