Syntactically Bound Construction “TAKE + AND + V”: Structural, Semantic, Etymological and Phraseological Aspects

The article is devoted to the analysis of the syntactically bound construction of the English language functioning as a predicate in a sentence. This construction is one of the variations of syntactic phraseological units. As all the syntactic phraseological units, this construction is simultatniously connected with the syntactical and phraseological levels of the language. The pecularity of this construction is full loss of gramatical and semantic actuality of one of the components. The acticle examines the main features of the construction, its phraseo-syntactic meaning, anomalies, confirming the praseological character of the unit.
