Ethnic Identity in Adygea: Political Aspects of Constructing in the Early Twenty- First Century (Based on Questionnaires)

The article reveals the status and trends of constructing ethnic identity of the Republic of Adygea in the political
aspect to the materials of mass questionnaires in 2010. Characteristics of the balance of ethnic identities in the republic
with russian civil identity, regional and religious identities are established. The level of trust by respondents to the basic
institutions of state power, rated social problems is determined. The basic channels of ethnic identity construction are
discovered. Recommendations in the sphere of identity construction’ policy are madein relation to regional conditions.
