This article is devoted to the outstanding scientist in the fi eld of Humanities and exceptionally original thinker
of prerevolutionary Russia M.F. von Taube, who is practically forgotten nowadays. The subject of the analysis is his
geopolitical views. Under consideration is the major M.F. von Taube’s work “The Formation of the Superpower Entities”,
in which he comes out as a prominent geopolitical theoretician and a subtle prognostic, who foresaw many processes that
took place both in the country and in the World after “The Second Russian Time of Troubles”.
