Radicalization and Terrorism in the North Caucasus: Security Challenges and the Strategy of Resistance
This article analyzes the process of radicalization, in which young people play one of the main roles. The structural
determinants and internal factors of radicalization in the modern Russian society have been revealed. The processes
of radicalization of Islam in the North Caucasus society were determined. These processes have led to the creation of
parallel power structures that ensure safety. The current situation, existing causes of instability and the possibility of
resistance to the negative factors in the North Caucasus were analyzed.
