Changes in the System of School and Vocational Education in Stavropol in the Initial Period of the Great Patriotic War

The article investigates the changes in the school system and vocational education in the first months of World War II as an example of the Stavropol Region. Indicates that the needs of the country in additional qualifi ed workers caused wartime demanded rearrangement of the entire education system. Patriotic education in secondary school, the preparation of young people ready for selfless service to the Motherland at the front and rear became the fi rst. The author notes that local authorities were directed to the period of the war a number of activities that contributed, in spite of great difficulties, the continuation of the educational process in the system of education of Stavropol region. The problems associated with the lack of textbooks and school supplies, facilities for lessons, food-ment of providing pupils and students of educational institutions, have been successfully resolved.
