The enclavian, multiethnic and multipolar, with the marked interterritorial differences in the demographics, the
modern South Russia is one of the most high-problem and important Russian Federation macro-regions in the geostrategic
terms. Proposed the geokontsept of “Big South Russia”, specifi ed its main structural components. Emphasis is increasing
polycentricity regional development characterized by migration attractiveness of cities in southern Russia.
