Cultural Heritage of the Russian Thought from Abroad: Contemplations about the Russian Way

(Rostov-on-Don)

The article is dedicated to the investigation of the cultural heritage of Russian thought from abroad. In 1922,
after the exile of the signifi cant part of Russian intelligenzia, the Cultural Revolution in Russia took place. The symbol
of this Revolution was “Philosopher’s Ship.” The important themes of thinking’s of Russian emigration were: the original
way of historical destiny of Russia, courses and consequences of Russian Revolution, specifi c features of Russian culture,
Russian idea, character of Russian people.
Many among the representatives of Russian thought from abroad were aware that communism in Russia would
fall down and the country would fi nd itself again before the destiny choice. It happened many times in Russian history.
The thinkers from abroad created projects of the future development of Russia. These projects were positive, as well as
negative and many of them sounded as the warning.
We propose to think about several ideas of Russian thinkers such as N.A. Berdyaev, I.A. Ilyin, G.P. Fedotov,
N.O. Lossky, V.V. Zenkovsky, N.S. Trubetskoy, D. Odinez. Their heritage does not lose its actuality. All these are ideas
about Russian historical way, specifi c features of Russian State order, problems of national policy, Ukrainian separatism,
about Christianity and destiny of European culture.
