South African Investment Climate and Prospects of Foreign Trade and Social Development of South Africa

The study researches the Republic of South Africa today – one of the interesting and promising world commodity and fi nancial markets. At the present moment, the national economy combines factors inherent in economy of the advanced countries and factors which the countries developing have. As the result, it is of interest from the point of view of prospects of development of trade and economic relations of Russia from the republics of South Africa and gives an opportunity for conducting enterprise activity in the republic of South Africa, and also creates a specifi c investment climate in the country. The given theme is actual enough for today as mutual relations between Russia and the republic of South Africa develop, and the opportunity of business dealing in the republic of South Africa involves more and more investors.
Purpose: Nowadays the Republic of South Africa became one of the most interested and attractive markets for the rest of the World and also for Russia, because of its unique economic factors, successful and competitive economic policy, liberalization of the free trade etc. All the mentioned above factors create the investment climate of the country and make actual the investigation of attractiveness of the market for the investors.
Methods: Author examine and evaluate different factors of South African economy of which investment climate consist. The author used the systematic approach to the study the structure and dynamics of SA economy and its investments data.
Results: The benefi ts of this study are the conclusion which describes and explains the detailed picture of the investment climate in the country in the fi elds of: general trends of investment attraction; macroeconomic situation is South Africa and its national features; investment policy of South African government; availability of banking fi nancing; modern relationships with Russian Federation etc.
Discussion: All the listed in the article it can be concluded that the investment climate in South Africa for foreign investors rather favorable. Although some problems still exist, the new policy of the Government is to solve them in the near future, making South Africa one of the most promising global markets today.
