Ways of Formation of Music Education in the Field of an Army of Don in 19th Century

The formation of base of music education in the fi eld of an army of Don 19th century on an example of Novocherkassk – an administrative centre and Rostov-on-Don – the fi nancial and economic centre of the Cossack edge considered. The basis and existence of the educational institutions containing at the expense of the army budget shined. It shown, that in rather small cities those stably functioned musically-educational institution which consisted on the budget maintenance, or leant in the activity against the state material resources. Private schools and courses began to work regularly in process of growth of well-being of city citizens. As a result, by the end of 19th century on Don the base of music education has been created: musical schools, courses and musical school IRMO. The given structure functioned without essential changes, up to 1967, i.e. to the basis of the Rostov Musical-pedagogical Institute (nowadays, the Rostov State Conservatory named by S.V. Rahmaninova) which has occupied leading hierarchical position in music education sphere.
