Proactive Management in Sociology: the Subject Field and Terminological Specifi city
The main aim is creation of new defi nition of proactive management in social science. We are trying to describe the sctucture of the method. We suggest to use term “proactive management” as forecasting of negative reactions and processes in social groups. These reactions can be the system’s answer (systems reactions) to different actions created by management. So the goal of proactive management is forsee negative reactions and prevent them. The method cosists of several steps: 1) creation of simulational model of social group or processes, 2) testing this model, making sure it’s adequate and can predict and give prognosis, 3) testing on this model different management actions, 4) analysing the results and consequences of these management actions, 5) creating plan of counteraction. At the end manager should have prediction model and a plan for contercheck actions for different scenarious. In this work we do not speak about precise methods of management in social science, we only speak about prediction models which will help manager to understand, plan and forecast all situations in the social model. Therefore, these models will help to test all kinds of management methods. So management methods depends on location, situation, manager’s education and approach, social group – but for all these methods we can use proactive management and prediction models to see if those methods effective or not. As we mentioned above at the basis of predictive models we have an agent-based modeling, programming and computer science.
