Territorial Community as an Object of Social Management
Purpose: The article aims to analyze the specifi cs of the territorial community as an object of social management, and identify those of its features that allow you to distinguish it from the concepts of “community”, “community”, “society”, are widely used in the social sciences.
Methods: Due to the comparative analysis of different social groups as objects of social management, the author detected general and particular features in them. It allows us to differentiate some commonly used in social philosophy concepts and identify the essential properties of the territorial community. The analysis of the texts of philosophers and sociologists involved in the classifi cation of social groups and relationships helps to clarify the semantic meaning and signifi cance of concepts such as community, community, community, community. Application of the method of structural analysis to determine the place of territorial communities in the modern social structure.
Results: The study shows that the territorial community is a real social group based on the joint coordinated actions, common goals and interests. The genesis of the territorial community allows classifying it as a common, occurring naturally. However, the society does not have territorial community self-suffi ciency that allows to differentiate these concepts and to determine their place in the reconstruction of the social fabric. All these allows to conclude that the term “territorial community” refers to the specifi c social group, bringing together people living in a particular area, and it is indispensable to analyze the structure of society and the mechanisms of social control.
Discussion: The article goes on well into the ongoing discussion of world social sciences on the criteria for the classifi cation of social groups and the types of social relations. Marx, Tonnies, Weber and others have launched that discussion. In modern social philosophy the questions about the need to separate the concepts of “society” and “community”, “organization” and “community” are still discussing. It gives urgency of this article.
