Urbocentric Effects in the Context of a Metropolization (for Example, the Rostov Region)

Punctuated factors, trends and challenges of inter-municipal cooperation in habitats metropolization in post-Soviet Russia. Particular attention is paid to the interaction of economic conditions of municipalities in the Rostov agglomeration. Described the evolution of ideas about Rostov agglomeration and its components. Identifi ed urbo-centric effects in dynamics territorial-economic of the Rostov region including the concentration of the population in the regional capital, infrastructure and economic activity. It is shown that under the infl uence of metropolization seen as a signifi cant extension of the agglomeration, and functionalization of the new merged its municipalities; formed center-peripheral effects, as well as previously established asymmetry of socio-economic development of the municipalities, thus, have persisted. Evidence-based priorities of partner debugging effective inter-municipal cooperation, including on the basis of the construction of the relevant economic conditions and mechanisms.
